THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF HORNEPAYNE

 

        BY-LAW NO. 989

 

Being a  by-law to establish fees for Building Permits.

 

 

WHEREAS section 7 of the Building Code Act, S.O. 1992, c.23 authorizes municipalities to pass by-laws to require the payment of fees for building, demolition, conditional  and change of use permits,  

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED by the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Hornepayne:

 

1.      THAT the fees for applications for the following classes of permits are hereby established as set out in Schedule “A” annexed hereto and forming part of this By-law:

 

a)      building permit

b)      demolition permit

c)      change of use permit

d)      conditional permit

e)      communication tower permit

f)        fence permit

g)      heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) permit

h)      occupancy permit

i)        satellite dish permit

j)        sign permit

k)      swimming pool permit.

 

2.      THAT said fees shall become due and payable to the Corporation of the Township of Hornepayne upon application for such permits.

 

3.      THAT fees and refunds of fees shall be calculated in accordance with the methods prescribed in the “Building By-law” for the Township of Hornepayne.

 

4.      THAT this By-law shall come into force and take effect on the date of its passing hereof.

¹       Building permit application fees for new construction include all essential

systems such as sprinkler, fire alarm, HVAC, etc.  Flat rate fees for HVAC

permit applications apply to the installation of new HVAC systems in

existing residential and other buildings, provided no fire separation will be

 penetrated by the new system or any openings in existing fire separations

are already properly protected.
