POSITION AVAILABLE
REGULAR PART-TIME (APPROXIMATELY 60 HOURS/2 WEEKS)
REGISTERED NURSE/NURSE EDUCATOR/ACCREDITATION CO-ORDINATOR
This RN will be expected to follow the present job description, hospital policies, and procedures.
This RN must have the ability to meet the physical demands of the essential duties of the position and work rotating shifts
You must have a current RN licence, ACLS and CPR certificate.
You must be able to tend to the Emergency Department as well as the Long-Term Care and active patients, as per the work assignment.
This RN must have the ability to work independently, as a member of a multidisciplinary team, and with a diverse client group.
Good organizational skills.
You must be willing to upgrade skills and recertify as needed.
The salary scale will be according to ONA contract.
Bilingual in both French and English is preferred.
Previous Nursing experience an asset.
Previous supervisory experience an asset.
Recent and relevant hospital experience.
Must attend in-services throughout the year to maintain adequate level of skill within this facility.
Extensive knowledge in pharmaceuticals.
Good attendance record
Nurse Educator:
Two years experience in adult teaching/learning, curriculum development, providing in service or staff development
functions is an asset.
Supports the accreditation process by ensuring the Standards for Accreditation are met on an ongoing basis.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates leadership skills, ability to mentor staff and facilitate program and staff development.
Excellent assessment and interpersonal skills.
You will be expected to formulate and implement in-services for the certification of added nursing skills
deemed necessary for this facility. ACLS and CPR instructor is an asset.
Computer proficiency in word processing, computer presentation skills and related technology is an asset.
You must be willing to upgrade skills and recertify as needed.
Accreditation Coordinator:
Advanced knowledge of Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation Standards
To coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of the hospitals overall Q.A. program
Assist in the identification of specific organizational needs and priorities related to accreditation and safety
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Excellent organizational, planning, coordinating and project management skills
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Good computer skills (Microsoft word and PowerPoint) for presentations
Ability to motivate people to carry out development and revision work on policies and procedures
Ability to function independently and be self-directed
Time management skills
Ability to use audio-visual equipment
