Hi Hornepayne!Great pictures. I have lots of happy memories of the town, and
wonder where classmates Darb McEwen, Gary Klassen, Dorothy Rattray,Audrey
Prairie are. Maybe time for a reunion. Hope to get to the 2003 birthday
celebrations. Hope this site keeps us up to date on these up-coming activities
as it would help in vacation planning. All the best in the new year. Peggy (Burns)DeCiccio
My motherKay Kalechuk(Burns) has had a look at the site and talk about memories,
she has 1945-1971 to remember.

Great photos! I lived in hornepayne from 1959 to 1970 and my wife from her
birth in 1947 to 1970 so it was real nice to see them. I'd like to see some
short articles on the people and the goings on in your community.

Elyse Sheare is looking for you!
Hi everyone, I lived there from the day I was born until
I turned 10, when I moved away with my family to a city
called Elliot Lake. I have been doing great and was living
in Toronto for a couple of years and recently got engaged.
My fiancee and I are planning on moving to Ottawa to begin
a fresh new life together. My wedding isn't until August
2001 and I would love it if my old friends could be there.
Their names are: Crystal Storry, who I noticed sent a message
here, Karen O'hare, Krista Hume, and whoever else I used to
hang out with, I've forgotten most names since I have a bad
memory and it has also been so long. I miss you all
and hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
Elyse Sheare

GREAT WEB SITE !!
I find it helpful for planning my snowmobile trips, and to help lessen the home
sickness I feel every once and a while !!
Keep up the good work. I look forward to any new photos.

Hello Hornepayne,
I lived here from 1944 until 1976 & I still think of it as one of the
nicest places on earth. The nice people who lived in the community made it
such a friendly place. Talk about memories, school days, teen town,
curling, hockey, hunting, fishing, the Legion, the camp on 1st Government,
all the girl friends & parties, & of course lets not forget the
CNR, I could go on forever. The site is great, tell all the X Hornepayners
about it.

Greetings Hornepayne
Just wanted to drop a line and say HELLO to you.
I didn't realize so many people still miss the old town. Maybe we should
get together for one last fling.
I was thinking of Taylor's Hotel the other day while looking at Halloween
items. Good parties. Good Friends.
We are all doing fine out here in the West. Come and visit if you can.
There are too many names to start to say Hello to so if anyone in town
reads this just pass along and hug to all.
Take care all and if you wish to email the address is: macleodjd@bcinternet.net

Greetings Hornepayne
Just wanted to say Hello from the West. I use to live in the BIG city but
moved let everyone else.
By the look of the comments maybe we should all get together in Hornepayne
for one last swing.
I'm very glad to see that Hornepayne is being viewed by people from all
over the world. Keep up the good work.
To all in Hornepayne who may view this while looking at the rest. We are
all alive and doing well out here. We don't hear from you very often but
when we do it makes you feel like you still lived there. I was thinking of
Taylor's Hotel the other day as I was looking at Halloween items and the
memories of the parties we had there. I guess those days are gone.
Take care of yourselves and love to all

Greetings Hornepayne, my old home town. I was born in Hornpayne
in May of 1946. My father, Raymond Regan, was an engineer for the
railroad.
He passed away when I was just seven, in 1953 and my mother, Alice Regan
took me and my two sisters to live in Blind River. I won't take you
through the story of my life here. ha ha
Today, I live in New York City and have lived here since 1981. I raised
two daughters and they also live here. For several years, I owned
and managed an art gallery on Wall Street and my partner and I were
the originators of the New York City's first art and technology salon.
Our website continues at www.audart.com. We also own a technologycompany
which you can visit at www.audcom.com.
I was only 7 when I left Hornepayne but I have hundreds of vivid memories.
Here are some of the people I remember. If any of them visit here,
I would love to get an email at audart@pipeline.com.
Patsy O'Hara (my schoolbuddy in grades one and two)
Beverly Mervin (ditto)
Danuta Salinsky (who could forgot that name?)
Brian and Kevin Commons
Jerry Lewis
Jennifer Godden(sp) (her dad was a minister at, I believe, the Anglican
Church in Hornepayne)
My parents friends (the adults in my life)Norma and Joe Commons
Marg and Jim McEwouen
Kay and George Baker and their kids
The Olivers
The Romanuk's(sp) (close neighbours)
I need to speak to my mother, who now lives in Toronto because this
list is much longer and I cannot remember all the names.
What a treat to discover this website. And it's great. I haven't
been back to Hornepayne since I was 13, when I returned for a
short visit. It truly seems like another planet (a
desirable one at that!) as I sit here listening to
the traffic and noise of Manhattan.
God Bless you Hornepayne!

So how is it going in hornepayne? It's been awhile since my family and I
left that little town back in 1986 to move to Toronto but now we live in
Winnipeg. I'am getting sick with all this traffic and noise but remeber
hornepayne and all the open space. I'am planning to visit hornepayne
sometime next year to visit my old pals Tommy and Terry, so if you see
them say hi from Stanley Wesley Jr. |
Hi Hornepayne! This is Lindy Grelowski and I'm living in
Moncton. I
was getting home sick and talking to mom and dad on the phone wasn't
cutting it so, I went and found this site. People around here think that
living 30 minutes out of the city is living in the country, until I
explained where I was from. I showed this site to a few friends and they
were amazed!! All the woods and lakes around me and I moved here! I told
them how me and Mikey would have contests to see who had the most dry
blood from bug bites, How going to the dump to visit the bears was a
gift from dad if we were good and how ski-doo was the main
transportation in winter. I heard you guys been having good weather
too!! That's new. Well, just decided to drop in at home for awhile and
this site gave me a taste of what I miss. Take care and I'll be home for
Christmas!! BYE |
